Pickles - an optimistic Labrador who works as a guide dog for a blind man. She is often seen sitting by her owner's side, but the man's face is never shown on screen. |
This is the father of the family 'Bob Parr' who has just come from work in is stuck in rush hour traffic. This is parallel to in the real world traffic. I feel that with these little hints to the real world the film is trying to make us feel that Bob's life is as normal as they can get and it's showing us just how far he has travelled from this famous glamour lifestyle with a fancy car to just like any other ordinary person. This allows the viewer to understand his anger and boredom at his new lifestyle. |
